April 1: Let these funny women inspire you to tap into your inner prankster!

April 2: Jude Law plays a collection agent in the futuristic sci-fi thriller Repo Men, where organs can be bought — and later repossessed for nonpayment. Heidi Montag covers her breasts and screams, "No!"

April 5: Three generations of Chinese-American women tour the old country in Deanna Fei's debut novel, A Thread of Sky. Nothing like that time you took your mom and aunt for dim sum.

April 7: World Health Day.

April 11: The Wire creator David Simon returns to HBO with the new hourlong drama series Treme, set in post-Katrina New Orleans. You guessed it: not a sitcom.

April 15: Income taxes are due!

April 16-18: The Coachella music festival in Indio, California. Now's your chance to ask Thom Yorke to "spare a square" in the Porta-Potty line!

April 19: PBS chronicles the environmental movement in the two-hour doc American Experience: Earth Days. Recycle those Cheetos bags!

April 20: The counterculture holiday 4/20 Cannabis Day is illegally celebrated by potheads everywhere.

April 23: Shia LaBeouf and Carey Mulligan star in Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. This time they all ride the bus and bring bag lunches.

April 24-25: Hundreds of bakers compete for the blue ribbon at the Great American Pie Festival in Celebration, Florida, featuring classes, eating contests, and a never-ending buffet of toppings. We can't wait to wear our "The crust is the best part" T-shirt.

April 27: "Picasso in the Metropolitan Museum of Art" is the New York museum's first exhibit to focus exclusively on Picasso, including 150 paintings, drawings, and sculptures. It's Pablorama!

April 28: Curl up with Pam Grier's memoir, Foxy: My Life in Three Acts. Act 1: born. Act 2: icon. Act 3: badass.

April 29: Zipper Day. In 1913, Gideon Sinback patented the zipper, changing fashion forever.

April 30: National Honesty Day — inspired by George Washington's fessing up to chopping the cherry tree. It's your opportunity to come clean on backseat politeness and tell people how you really feel.
