Michael Kors' Fall Show

michael Kors Fall 2009One can't help but love Michael Kors. I'm sure the man has his bad days, but when he's on, boy is he on. And Michael is never more on top of his game than at his fashion show. "Tough luxe! You are powerful, sexy, smart and confident! When the going gets tough, the tough gets tougher! Be strong and have a great show!" read the model inspiration board backstage, where friends Cheyenne Jackson, Jane Krakowski, Heidi Klum, and Molly Sims all gathered to wish their friend good luck on his show.

Michael Kors Fall 2009 Michael Kors Fall 2009There's a sense of anticipation in waiting for a Michael Kors show to start that can't be described in words; it's a true explosion for the senses. You wait for that first pairing of models (usually Carmen Kass with a handsome male fellow) to come strutting down the runway as the music blares, inject a dose of American sportswear and sex, and voila! Sit back and enjoy the results. Donna Karan already showed one of her best collections in years a few days prior, and now you can add Michael to that group as well. The show was just plain terrific; I loved every moment. Neon colors added the visual stimulation needed in what has been a dark week (both economically and garment-wise). What Michael delivered was what his client will need to a tee this fall: beautiful suits, fresh one-shoulder dresses, and the continuing trend of cutout necklines and skirts slit just every-so-sexily.
