While much of Hollywood is condemning (opens in new tab) Harvey Weinstein following reports of sexual misconduct in The New York Times (opens in new tab) and The New Yorker (opens in new tab), actress Lindsay Lohan has come to his defense.
In a series of videos on Instagram stories, Lohan said, "I don't think it's right what's going on."
She also added, "I think Georgina [Chapman] needs to take a stand and be there for her husband. He's never harmed me or did anything [wrong] to me—we've done several movies together. So I think everyone needs to stop. I think it's wrong. So stand up."
The videos have reportedly (opens in new tab) since been deleted. Lindsay's defense of Weinstein is sure to elicit shock, as again, many of her fellow actors (including Jennifer Lawrence, (opens in new tab) George Clooney (opens in new tab), and Angelina Jolie (opens in new tab)) are reacting with disgust to the allegations against him.
