Here's Why This Designer Didn't Cast Kendall Jenner in His Label's Latest Campaign

Burgeoning It model Kendall Jenner walked in the Balmain show during Paris Fashion Week this past September and got to model two separate looks, that lucky thing. But, despite rumors to the contrary, she doesn't feature in the label's new campaign.

Five models do: Joan Smalls, Adriana Lima, Crista Cober, Isabeli Fontana, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley; in the images, they're all dressed up for a glam night out, except, go figure, they're staying in, eating fast food, and playing Nintendo:

Now you might think that Balmain designer Olivier Rousteing (pictured above with Kendall) saved her from the greasy burgers and fries out of kindness—he is a very good pal of her family now, after all. But it turns out it was a business decision entirely, and Kendall just didn't fit with his vibe.

"If I took Kendall, it would be in a different concept with different girls," he told Style.com. "Obviously, she's my friend," he continues, before noting she just wasn't quite right. And that's the casting business for you.

Don't worry about Kendall though, as she's landed a spot in the new Marc Jacobs campaign instead, Fashionista reports.
