Forbes released a list of the 10 highest-paid YouTubers, and the results might surprise you!
They actually all out-earn Mark Zuckerberg, the billionaire founder of Facebook, but only because Mark started taking a $1 salary in 2013. (Yes, you read that right. He voluntarily chose to earn the equivalent of a McDonald's Dollar Menu meal every year.)
PewDiePie, aka Felix Kjellberg, took the top spot. He earns $12 million a year playing video games and making jokes to his 40 million followers.
Smosh rang in at number two, with Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla splitting $8.5 million a year for their live-action comedy broadcast to 21 million followers. As People points out, that's enough dough to buy THREE of Kylie Jenner's Calabasas mansions in one year!
Beauty blogger Michelle Phan came in at number six, pulling in a whopping $3 million a year thanks to her 8 million followers.
In other words, if you're feeling broke, you know what to do: Open up your webcam and start talking. Money could soon follow!
