Larry David and Bernie Sanders Finally Met on 'SNL' Last Night

Too good.

It's becoming pretty, pretty, pretty hard to differentiate between Bernie Sanders and Larry David. Is Sanders the one running for president who refuses to shake the hands of people who just coughed? Is he the one who won't pop your shoulder back in its socket? Or are those just Curb storylines? To add to the confusion, Saturday Night Live created the brilliant "Bern Your Enthusiasm" last night. They've got the horn music. They have Bobby Moynihan, Cecily Strong, and Jay Pharoah nailing Jeff, Susan, and Leon. And they have all the FUCK YOU BERNIEs that you'd ever want to hear. Larry David totally would lose a caucus by five people. Or is that Bernie Sanders? Cue the music.

Still confused? Well, the actual Bernie Sanders showed up alongside the actual Larry David in a sketch about a sinking ship. It's funny, and he plays the guy stopping the wealthy captain from stealing a spot on the lifeboat from women and children. It shows his populist persona, but why didn't he play himself alongside the character version of himself as is becoming custom? Or would that tear a whole into the fabric of time?
