Watch Meryl Streep (Badly) Belt Out Opera for Her New Movie

Only Meryl can make terrible singing this charming and hilarious.

In Florence Foster Jenkins, a biopic about the world's worst opera singer, Meryl Streep plays a socialite determined to take the stage. Hugh Grant plays her supportive husband and Simon Helberg is her exasperated accompanist, Cosmé McMoon, in the film, which doesn't yet have an American release date.

In the just-released trailer, Streep, of course, manages to make Jenkins utterly charming and relatable. It's enough to make you want to belt out a ballad yourself.
