Tom Barrack, the chairman of PEOTUS Donald Trump's inauguration committee, told reporters on Tuesday that the lack of A-Listers present on the big day is deliberate, okay?! Seriously. "We're fortunate in that we have the greatest celebrity in the world, which is the president-elect," Barrack explained, adding that "what we've done instead of trying to surround him with what people consider A-listers is we are going to surround him with the soft sensuality of the place."
As if that weren't already nonsensical, it turns out the committee has been sending out invites to celebs after all. Us Weekly reports that stunt queen Caitlyn Jenner received one and—not here to be upstaged by her son-in-law Kanye—has RSVPd in the affirmative. (Caitlyn's spokesperson did, however, tell LGBTQ Nation they were "unaware, at the moment, of any details relating to this.")
Of course, Caitlyn's credentials as a conservative Republican (irrespective of the party's stance on LGBT rights) are well-known at this point, so let's just hope she has a lovely time schmoozing with the people who are, in many cases, chomping at the bit to make her community's lives (much) more difficult.
