Six months after announcing their split, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are finally on good terms. According to People, the couple have begun communicating directly with each other again, trying to work through the separation together.
A source told People in the magazine's latest issue that Brad is much happier now. "He's very relieved that things are not playing out in public anymore."
The end of "Brangelina" came as a shock to the world when the famous couple announced in September 2016 they were separating after two years of marriage. Jolie, who filed for divorce from Pitt, originally demanded custody of their 6 children, but she has recently allowed Pitt to see his kids more regularly than he had been previously allowed.
The source who spoke with People added that Pitt has "always been extremely positive about how Angie's a good mother, and the goal was to resolve everything for the kids and the whole family, and they're working toward that."
The couple's negotiations over custody and the divorce are underway, and they have enlisted the help of a private judge to help them tackle their issues out of the public eye.
"He is spending more time with the kids when they are in L.A.," another Pitt insider told People. "He has even spent some time with Maddox and Pax. Things are definitely calming down."
