- Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise's bond is so strong ever since Katie divorced Tom Cruise in 2012.
- Tom reportedly doesn't have a relationship with his 14-year-old daughter because of his involvement with the Church of Scientology.
- Sources said Katie and Suri "saved each other."
Uh, in case those post-divorce Nicole Kidman pics didn't make it obvious, being married to Tom Cruise is extremely complicated and no easy feat. Katie Holmes also knows the deal, which is why she divorced him in 2012 after six years of marriage in part because of his involvement with the Church of Scientology. Since she moved across the country and settled in New York City, Katie and their 14-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise, have become incredibly close.
According to new reports from Us Weekly, “You’d struggle to find a mom-daughter duo who are more in sync with each other. They’re a real team—their connection is a beautiful thing to witness.” Katie and Suri are often seen exploring the city together, and Katie occasionally gives a glimpse into their lives on her Instagram. Just the other day, Katie posted pictures of how they're spending Suri's birthday while in quarantine, and they're definitely making the most of their time inside.
Us' source also added that Katie is able to lean on Suri and vice versa. “If Katie’s feeling stressed or down, Suri’s very compassionate and loving," they shared. "Katie feels like her daughter really is her little angel…It’s no exaggeration to say that Suri and Katie have saved each other. They really are wonderful together.”
The magazine previously reported that Tom has no relationship with Suri because of his religious beliefs. In 2017, a source said, "Tom hasn't seen or even called Suri in about three years." Since Suri's relationship with her father is virtually nonexistent, it's amazing to hear that she and Katie are so close.
