Gwen Stefani’s Engagement Ring From Blake Shelton Is Worth Up To $800,000, Says Jewelry Expert

There was no doubt in Blake Shelton's mind that he had to get Gwen Stefani a gorgeous sparkler for their engagement—and boy, did he deliver. Gwen gleefully showed off her brand new engagement ring when sharing their big news to fans on Tuesday. According to Entertainment Tonight, Blake popped the big question the weekend of October 17 in Oklahoma, where the "Honey Bee" singer has a home.

"Blake had the ring custom designed," a source supposedly told Us Weekly while also sharing that the country singer asked Gwen's father, Dennis Stefani, for permission. "It meant so much to Gwen that Blake was so traditional about it."

While we only have the above ring photo — which Blake also posted on social media — to go off of at the moment, jewelry experts are already giving their best guesses when it comes to the sparkler's details. Katie Zimmerman, the chief merchandising officer of the jewelry company Blue Niles, told Refinery29.com that Gwen's ring is probably a round or oval cut "set in a solitaire or simple pavé platinum setting." By her estimate, the "Hollaback Girl" singer's diamond is likely between eight to 10 carats in weight, putting its value between $700,000 and $800,000.

That said, other estimates have priced the ring in a slightly less expensive range. Brilliant Earth's SVP of Merchandising and Retail Expansion Kathryn Money told US Weekly that she thinks it is a solitaire diamond that weighs about six carats and is set on a white gold or platinum band . If this is true, the ring may have cost around $500,000+, depending on the quality of the stone.

Of course, we won't know the exact details unless either Blake or Gwen decide to share them with the world. Regardless of the ring though, it's clear that Gwen and Blake, who have been dating since 2015, are both over the moon at the moment. When announcing their engagement via the above Instagram, Gwen captioned her photo, "@blakeshelton yes please!" Sharing the same picture to his own Instagram feed, Blake wrote,"Hey @gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020 ... And the rest of my life. I love you. I heard a YES!"
