Right when you thought Adele's "Hello" couldn't break anymore records, the Brit powerhouse and her incomprehensibly successful single have gone on to do just that.
After being anointed the biggest debut in 2015 on YouTube (dethroning Taylor Swift for "Blank Space"), it was announced that only 87 days since its release, "Hello" has become the fastest music video to break one billion views. This means she's officially beat out Psy and his once-viral clip for 2012's "Gangnam Style"—which took a whole 158 days to reach billion-view status.
Now, as Queen of the One Billion Club, Adele reigns over 16 other artists who have also reached the same milestone—just not as quickly. Among the pack? Maroon 5 ("Sugar"), Major Lazer ("Lean On"), Eminem ("Love The Way You Lie"), LMFAO "("Party Rock"), OneRepublic ("Counting Stars"), and Sia ("Chandelier"). Take a look at how everyone stacks up below:
"If anyone deserves it," Susanne Daniels, the head of original programming at YouTube, told the New York Times, "It's Adele and that song."
