Ten years after the film's theatric debut, people are still dropping a line or two into their everyday conversations from Mean Girls. What's a big accomplishment at work without a resounding chorus from your fellow co-workers, "You go Glen Coco!" There's just no better affirmative answer to that than a head nod coupled with the word "Grool." And of course, we'll never stop trying to make "Fetch" happen.
And audiences aren't the only ones who can't get enough of the millennial favorite. Lindsay Lohan, who starred in the movie during her Hollywood glory days (before her rehab stints, complaints about her work ethic, and collective disappointment in the once bright child star), recently told Time Out London that she's hankering for the cast to reunite for a more mature Mean Girls sequel that would take place outside of the halls of North Shore High.
"People really love the movie: how do you top that?" Lohan said. "I was with Tina Fey the other day and I said we should do another Mean Girls, like an older version where they're all housewives and they're all cheating. That would be really funny. I'll harass Tina to write it." How LiLo plans to harass Fey is still TBD, but whatever the motivator, a follow-up to the classic that is Mean Girls (one featuring the original cast and isn't direct to DVD, natch) is something we would love to watch.
