In an interview with Charlie Rose airing today, Amy Schumer expands on her response to the deeply offensive rape comments made by comedian Kurt Metzger, who had previously written for her show. (His remarks about sexual assault and victim-shaming aren't worth an embed, but you can read them here if you're so inclined.)

"I want them to not attach me to what he's writing," Schumer, a sexual-assault survivor, said to Rose. "I would love to refocus the energy and the attention on the real problem. It's about rape. He baits people. He's the problem, no question, but the focus is on him rather than on what the real main problem is."

Measured but meaningful—well done. Watch the preview here.
