Amy Schumer has been cast in the new Barbie movie (opens in new tab), which is absolute perfection. But predictably, the internet has thoughts (opens in new tab) about whether or not she has the "right" body to play Barbie—which is so regressive we basically cannot. And neither can Schumer.

The comedian wrote a mini-open letter by way of Instagram, shutting down critics of her body, and reminding everyone that she has a lot to be proud of.

Also FYI: the folks behind Barbie are trying to promote a more realistic body image (opens in new tab). No offense to all the humans out there who have teeny tiny high heel-shaped feet, but time to get on board.
