Amy Schumer has been cast in the new Barbie movie, which is absolute perfection. But predictably, the internet has thoughts about whether or not she has the "right" body to play Barbie—which is so regressive we basically cannot. And neither can Schumer.

The comedian wrote a mini-open letter by way of Instagram, shutting down critics of her body, and reminding everyone that she has a lot to be proud of.

"Is it fat shaming if you know you're not fat and have zero shame in your game?" she writes in the post below. "I don't think so. I am strong and proud of how I live my life, and say what I mean, and fight for what I believe in, and I have a blast doing it with the people I love. Where's the shame? It's not there. It's an illusion."

Also FYI: the folks behind Barbie are trying to promote a more realistic body image. No offense to all the humans out there who have teeny tiny high heel-shaped feet, but time to get on board.
