Last month, we wrote about the exciting news that Karl Lagerfeld had cast Keira Knightley to play Coco Chanel in his upcoming directorial debut, Once Upon a Time. The short film will profile the opening of the label's first apparel store in the French town of Deauville in celebration of Chanel's centennial, and will be shown in Singapore on May 7 during the Resort shows.
In this new 45-second clip, Karl teases us with a dreamy blend of classic linens and light string music within a quiet French landscape. The preview doesn't reveal much besides Keira's perfect brows and a stunning amount of millinery-made hats, but it's a perfect way to set the stage for what is sure to be a major cinematic delight. After all, Karl has been known to make his fashion films a substantial production for the Resort shows, so we're more than confident Once Upon a Time will be a beautiful fairy tale, as its name promises.
