Penelope Cruz Makes Her Directorial Debut
Penelope Cruz releases her first short film this Thursday to celebrate her new line for Agent Provocateur, L'Agent.

Penélope Cruz has quite a few titles on her résumé: actress, mom of two, sex symbol, Oscar winner, philanthropist, and not to mention wife to Spanish man-candy Javier Bardem. Thanks to her latest project, she's about to add two more to that list: director and designer. Cruz has made her directorial debut with a short film to celebrate her recent foray into the world of design with a lingerie line for Agent Provocateur, L'Agent, which she co-designed with her sister Monica Cruz.
Who makes an appearance in Cruz's new film, you ask? Some of the suspects you'd expect, of course! Husband Javier Bardem, co-designer and sister Monica Cruz, and model Irina Shayk star in the short, alongside an array of lingerie-clad models. Shot in Madrid, Cruz said the film was "very personal and important for me…a very interesting experience. They gave me all the freedom, and I was able to tell the story I wanted to tell."
Cruz's collection, which inspired the film, will hit stores such as Bloomingdale's and Net-A-Porter this Thursday. L'Agent is the brand's first wholesale collection, and most pieces retail for less than half the price of Agent Provacteur's main collection. Catch the the Cruz-directed film on L'Agent's website later this week!
