Major tear alert, Gleeks. Yesterday, Lea Michele made her first public appearance — wearing a "Cory" necklace, no less — at the Teen Choice Awards since the July 13 death of co-star-turned-boyfriend Cory Monteith. While Michele won an award for Choice TV Actress: Comedy, it wasn't the awards' signature surfboard that got America talking. During a tearful acceptance speech, a graceful, incredibly put-together Michele thanked her fans for the constant love and support. "Not that I had any doubt before, but you guys are most certainly the greatest fans in the world." She went on to dedicate the award to Monteith, stating, "So whether you knew him personally or just as Finn Hudson, Cory reached out and he became a part of all of our hearts, and that's where he'll stay forever." We are so impressed and inspired by Michele's truly remarkable bravery and strength during this undoubtedly devastating time.
