The days of sharing Instagrams by just commenting and @-tagging your friends are over. The app just unveiled group messaging via its Instagram Direct feature. Share any photo and its full caption (hashtag and location included) to one person or even multiple people.

Messages show as a thread, and any person added can see the full history in the group chat. Emojis are also supported because what's a cat Insta without the cat face to reply with?

But the coolest addition is the quick selfie option that allows you to take a pic and just reply with that (which sounds distinctively Snaptchat-ish?). Instagram queen Kim Kardashian, they were thinking of you when they made that one.

The update is available now on the app.
