Dear People Who Don't Think Sexism Is a Thing: 'The X-Files' Just Filled Its Writers Room Entirely with Men

The upcoming season is being written by a gaggle of dudes with zero female input.

The X-Files is coming back for Season 11 in 2018 (we are not worthy!), which is exciting news for people who love themselves the genius combination of Scully and Mulder. Especially since Scully is such a great feminist role model, right?! Right! Except this season, her character is entirely in the hands of a group of dudes—without even one woman lending her voice to the equation.

According to TV Line, X-Files creator Chris Carter has hired Season 10 writing room veterans Darin Morgan, Glen Morgan, and James Wong—and also went ahead and scooped up three new writers, all of whom are men, one of whom has never written for a show before, and two of whom were former assistants. Because why hire super-qualified female writers, when you could just hire a bunch of semi-qualified guys! 😡 😡 😡.

Also, is now a good time to bring up the fact that Gillian Anderson was offered half David Duchovny's salary for last year's reboot? BRB, need to scream.
