With each new season, a very specific micro trend captures the attention of savvy fashion insiders. Ask me about the style crowd’s current niche obsession, and I’ll point you toward Kujten bandana scarves. For those unfamiliar, Kujten is a contemporary French brand that offers high-quality cashmere clothing and accessories. The brand’s selection of bandanas, most notably featuring Western-inspired paisley prints, has recently gone viral on social media.

A quick look at TikTok shows content creators pairing the cowgirl-inspired accessory with heavy winter staples like button-up coats and leather bomber jackets. Even though temperatures are rising quickly, I have a sneaky feeling this style will stick around for spring. Why? Well, it’s lightweight and versatile, making it a perfect transitional piece.

It seems that beloved American retailers have also jumped on the bandana bandwagon. J.Crew, Madewell, and Alex Mill all offer similar styles that are equally polished and playful. Even Gigi Hadid’s knitwear brand, Guest in Residence, features a variety of options. Hadid recently wore her brand’s sold-out version paired with a suede trench, straight-leg jeans, and glossy loafers. Rooted in versatile, transseasonal staples, the model’s outfit shows that bandanas belong in every spring capsule wardrobe.

Not surprisingly, the square style has also become a runway favorite. During the latest fashion month circuit, Tods showcased a satin alternative embellished with a shimmering gold brooch. Baum und Pferdgarten opted for a floral bandana decorated with a saturated red trim. Meanwhile, Zankov championed contrasting stripes bold enough to satisfy any maximalist.

If you’d like to elevate your rotation of spring looks this season, do yourself a favor and consider a humble bandana. Whether you drape it over your shoulders or tie it around your waist, this low-effort addition can make even the simplest outfit formulas feel incredibly intentional and put-together.
