Emma Watson made history for gender equality yet again Sunday night. The actress and activist took home the first-ever genderless acting award at the MTV Movie & TV Awards, for her performance as Belle in Beauty and the Beast.

During her speech, Emma took the opportunity to touch on the importance of the award and what it meant to her to be its first recipient.

"The first acting award in history that doesn't separate nominees based on their sex says something about how we perceive the human experience," she said. "MTV's move to create a genderless award for acting will mean something different to everyone, but to me it indicates that acting is about the ability to put yourself in someone else's shoes."

Emma went on to thank the rest of the people that made her performance as Belle possible and to express her gratitude for being included in such a diverse and inspiring film. Basically, as usual, Emma was 100 percent on point.
