It's official! New York Fashion Week has descended upon the Big Apple and the city is celebrating designers in various ways. In honor of his 40 years in the fashion industry, Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the City of New York declared Sept. 4 "Elie Tahari Day." The proclamation was read in front of Tahari's 5th Avenue pop-up shop by Joan Rivers and Bloomberg official Rob Goldrich. The celebrations continue on Thursday, when Caroline Herrera rings Nasdaq's closing bell. The stock market will never look so good.
