Hello, ladies,
There’s always something new happening in the fashion world, but these days, the news is even more exciting — since much of it is going on in the plus-size market. I’m finding it more and more common to come across brands that are catering to bigger girls or embarking on interesting collaborations that work for plus-size ladies.
During my most recent whirlwind trip to New York, I went on appointment to see the latest from
Pure Energy, a line available exclusively at Target. I’ve purchased many Pure Energy items in the past, and I must say I’m excited about many of the pieces they have coming to stores soon. And if you can’t wait until then, try this comfy, cool scoop-neck top with embellishments — perfect for spring.
Another development: Evans, the trendy UK plus-size site, has just announced that Beth Ditto is back to design a second line, and the collection will be launching in September this year. Her last collection had some great pieces including a to-die-for leather moto jacket, and the new one promises everything from ‘80s punk to ‘40s vintage inspiration. Another brand I’ve recently discovered is Una Luna. This brand is based out of Miami and doesn’t forget the plus-sized ladies. One of my favorite looks from the line is their Amber Mini Dress. Finally, although not officially in the plus-size realm, H&M has some amazing “oversized” pieces at the moment, with enough room to accommodate just about any plus-sized lady. If there’s an H&M near you it’s definitely worth editing through the racks at the store.
