I'm a serial lipstick dater. So many lip products slide onto my desk. Some I double-tap and have all the heart eyes for. Others I ghost and leave on seen. This is #BigLipstickEnergy, an honest breakdown of how I feel about the latest lip launches. Read on for the three lipstick flings I'm keeping in rotation for now. Next week, I'll have a new roster.

This Long-Lasting Red
Rouge Dior Ultra Care Liquid Lipstick in Paradise

Dior nordstrom.com
$38.00

THE DETAILS:

This is not your normal dry-as-all-get-out matte that you have to re-apply every few hours. Instead, it dispenses a soft velvet matte finish onto your lips that feels comfortable for up to 12 hours, according to the brand. It does not "last 24 hours" like every other long-wear liquid formula claims in its product description (which is marketing BS in my opinion). Don't you just love full-on transparency? Plus, 12 hours is more than enough time.

WHY I'M OBSESSED:

I adore flowers. I buy myself a bouquet every other week, decking-out my apartment with fresh blooms because it makes me happy and I'm an independent woman. So I was in once I realized flowers are the focus of this formula—it's made with flower oil that has a petal-soft texture to nourish the lips. Also, look (!), the applicator is shaped like an actual petal allowing for a precise, feather-free application. Color-wise, this blue-based red is bold and sultry, which is my all-time favorite.

This Bargain Buy
Liquid Lipstick in Tidal Taupe

Burt's Bees walmart.com
$9.43

THE DETAILS:

Although Burt's Bees makes a plethora of beauty products, their lip offerings are undoubtedly my favorite. The brand just does lipsticks, balms, glosses, and tints so damn right. And to make a 100-percent natural liquid lipstick (like actually natural with facts to back it up) that's long-lasting is difficult. This moisturizing matte has apricot and babassu oil, shea butter and essential fatty acids to keep chapped, cracked lips far away this fall.

WHY I'M OBSESSED:

This lipstick is $10, all-natural, long-wearing, moisturizing, and looks gorgeous. What else could one possibly want? After testing it for a full day, it exceeded my expectations. This taupe hue is a soft brown neutral on my skin tone, but the line has 12 universally flattering shades for all skin tones. Don't sleep on this drugstore gem.

This Unique Formula
Beauty Booster Lip & Cheek Sheer Tinted Color in Peach

Trish Mcevoy nordstrom.com
$33.00

THE DETAILS:

This double-duty lip and cheek product will be your savior when you're pressed for time. The sheer tint is basically a lip balm, but better, enhancing the color of your naturally flushed lips. Think: a juicy, plush, subtle outcome. As for the rest of your face, the conditioning agents impart a soft-focus glow on your cheeks. Just be sure to tap and blend with your fingers for the smoothest finish.

WHY I'M OBSESSED:

Sometimes lip balms bore me. But my lips have to be hydrated so I can't skimp on them altogether. Last week, I was in the mood to try moisturizing, interesting textures and stumbled upon this new launch. It's difficult to define the exact effect of this lip tint. Just know that the peachy hue will warm up your complexion and make your cheeks look like you  just got back from the beach.
