Model Kate Upton has married her professional baseball player boyfriend Justin Verlander in a romantic ceremony in Italy.
The couple held their ceremony at the Castiglion del Bosco in Siena, Tuscany, and pictures released by the Daily Mail show Upton walking down a rose-petal strewn aisle wearing a beautiful full-skirted gown with sheer sleeves and embroidered floral details. She wore her hair wavy and loose with a veil. Verlander was dressed in a three-piece tuxedo, as were his ushers, and the bridesmaids wore pink.
Upton, 25, and Verlander, 34, began dating in early 2014 and announced their engagement at last year's Met Gala, when Upton appeared on the red carpet wearing a large diamond on her left ring finger. Verlander had worked with the jeweler Anita Ko to create something bespoke.
The wedding comes just days after Verlander and his team, the Houston Astros, beat the Los Angeles Dodgers to win their first World Series. Upton is yet to post any wedding photos to her Instagram feed but yesterday shared a picture of the two of them in a celebratory embrace after the World Series game.
It's been a busy week for both of them, so we'll wait patiently for further updates.
