Some sad news for the weekend. Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor have announced their separation, following 17 years of marriage. The couple met in 1999 while filming a TV pilot for Fox called Heat Vision and Jack, which never made it to the air. Stiller and Taylor got married soon after, in May 2000, and famously appeared in the Zoolander movies together.

The pair gave a joint statement to Entertainment Tonight, and said, "With tremendous love and respect for each other, and the 18 years we spent together as a couple, we have made the decision to separate." Clearly, this was an incredibly difficult decision for the actors to make, particularly as they've been together for such a long time.

Their statement continued, "Our priority will continue to be raising our children as devoted parents and the closest of friends. We kindly ask that the media respect our privacy at this time." Stiller and Taylor have two children together, Ella Olivia and Quinlin Dempsey.
