Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Are Coming to America for Thanksgiving
It's essentially a royal holiday now.

Good afternoon, royal spectators—I have the most delightful news. It's reported that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be coming to America in less than one month to celebrate Thanksgiving, meaning that the holiday when everyone stuffs their faces with every food known to man will suddenly be a major royal event.
According to a People (opens in new tab) source, Meghan and Harry will be spending the holiday in Los Angeles so they can spend some "much-needed family time" with Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland.
“This would be Harry’s first Thanksgiving in the States,” the source said. “It will be nice for them to be around people that love them and have him understand her traditions too.”
Meghan and Harry will be taking a whole six weeks off from their royal duties, starting in mid-November through to the end of the year. It's Meghan's first real time off this year, because she worked a lot during her maternity leave.
This news comes amid several reports that claim Meghan and Harry are considering leaving the U.K. to live in either Canada (opens in new tab) or Africa (opens in new tab), but now People is reporting that America is also an option for their "second base." "It’s not possible for them to be [in the U.K.] like this," a source added. "There’s more pressure now. There’s a shift that is happening."
The source is likely alluding to the heightened royal tensions (opens in new tab) Meghan and Harry have experienced since Harry's formal announcement of his lawsuit against the British press (opens in new tab), not to mention Harry and William growing apart ("on different paths," to quote Harry). Anyone with eyes can see that being in the limelight has been remarkably tough for Meghan—recently on ITV's documentary (opens in new tab), Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, Meghan tearfully said "yes" when asked if she struggles with feeling okay.
ITV's @tombradby spoke to Meghan as he gained exclusive access to the royal couple as they toured Africa for 10 days with their son Archie. The documentary, Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, airs on Sunday at 9pm on @ITV #HarryandMeghan https://t.co/Uy21iE6ozJ pic.twitter.com/XYlHVytiHFOctober 18, 2019
Hopefully some time off in a different country with their family will do Meghan and Harry a world of good. These two deserve to relax.
