Meghan Markle's series of final events in the UK ahead of her and Prince Harry's transition out of their working senior royal family roles is over—and the Duchess of Sussex left the country hours after her last engagement Monday to return to the couple's 10-month-old son Archie in Canada.

Both Harper's Bazaar and The Telegraph report that Meghan flew out of England on Monday after Commonwealth Day Service. Harry stayed in Britain to take more meetings at Buckingham Palace Tuesday. Outlets have not reported that he has left the UK yet to fly to Canada, as of Thursday morning.

Royal reporter Omid Scobie, who attended Meghan's private meeting with Association of Commonwealth Universities scholars before Commonwealth Day Service, wrote that Meghan used the event to say her goodbye to staff. (The event was reportedly for Meghan to hear about their work envisioning solutions climate and environmental changes, sustainable cities, health innovation, and technology’s impact on economies and jobs.)

"The Duchess of Sussex emotionally [bid] much-loved aides farewell, with her flight 'home' to Canada leaving in a matter of hours," he wrote of the Monday gathering for Harper's Bazaar. He added later, "She’s flying back to Canada on the last commercial flight of the day, eager to be back in Vancouver Island by the morning before Archie wakes up."

ELLE understands that Archie remained on Vancouver Island, where the Sussexes have been living, during the couple's final UK trip because of their busy schedule.

Meghan shared a couple more details about Archie during her events in the UK. At the Endeavour Fund Awards—her first joint event with Harry last week—Meghan told attendee Claire Spencer that Archie "is into everything" these days.

And during her final solo event at Robert Clack Upper School in Dagenham, Essex, East of London, Meghan spoke a little more about Archie being on the cusp of a big milestone and his impact on her life. The Duchess revealed that Archie has “started trying to walk" and that "having Archie changed my life."

The couple have kept Archie's life pretty private. Their last photo of Archie was shared on New Year's Eve.
