What do a Barbados-born bad girl, a reggae-fusion pop star, and a British rock idol have in common? While the correct answer could have been multiple vacation homes or distinctive accents, the response we were looking for is that Rihanna, Bruno Mars, and Sting will all be performing at Sunday's Grammy Awards — together. You read that correctly! Announced late yesterday, the unlikely trio will collaborate for a special performance during the night's telecast. Our money's on a mashup of sorts — the three do have that mellow, reggae-inspired style that could make some magic when paired together.
The threesome join a growing list of confirmed Grammy performances, including Taylor Swift, the Black Keys, Frank Ocean, Elton John, and Justin Timberlake (singing "Suit & Tie,", perhaps?). Beyoncé has also been added to the telecast as a presenter, a smart move on behalf of the Grammys considering our national obsession with the pop superstar post-Super Bowl.
Watch the 55th Annual Grammy Awards this Sunday, Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
