Zac Posen to Launch New Mid-Price (Yet Still Pricey) Contemporary Line

This just in: Zac Posen will create his second contemporary diffusion line, Zac Zac Posen. The label from the Project Runway judge will be mid-priced — well, relatively speaking — with price points ranging from $500 to $1,600, and will even include plenty of Posen's signature eveningwear.

"In building into such strict price requirements for Z Spoke, we started to learn that with a slightly higher price point, you can get a lot more out of the product," Posen said in an interview with WWD. "You can get a level of fabric quality that's a lot nicer, and it enables it to expand into evening."

In comparison, his first contemporary line, Z Spoke, retails for under $200 and is sold exclusively at Hudson's Bay and Lord & Taylor. Zac Zac Posen, however, has already been picked up by Intermix, Harvey Nichols in the UK, Scoop, Neiman Marcus, and Saks — this means it will be much easier to get a hold of than Z Spoke, albeit a bit pricier. If this new collection is anything like the rest of Zac's impeccable creations, we can't wait to get our hands on the latest goods.
