Taylor Swift Sends Flowers to Cardi B After She Knocks Her Off the No.1 Spot

The rapper made history with "Bodak Yellow."

Look what you made Cardi do, Taylor .

The 24-year-old rapper knocked Swift's single "Look What You Made Me Do" off the top spot of the Billboard charts with "Bodak Yellow," and she's also made history in the process. She's become the the first female rapper to get to No.1 without the assistance of any other credited artist in almost two decades.

Swift was one of the first to congratulate the star by sending her a huge bunch of flowers, which Cardi B showed off in a Boomerang video on Instagram.

She added the caption: "Sooo beautiful and lovely .Thank you @taylorswift for the flowers...and I freaking love your music."

Nicki Minaj also applauded Cardi B, tweeting: "Congratulations to a fellow NEW YAWKA on a RECORD BREAKING achievement. Bardi, this is the only thing that matters!!! Enjoy it."

According to Billboard (opens in new tab), the last time a female rapper reached the No.1 spot was in 1998, when Lauryn Hill debuted "Doo Wop (That Thing)," which held on at the top of the charts for two weeks.

After finding out she had got to No.1, Cardi B posted a video on her Instagram page to thank all of her fans.

"THANK YOU THANK THANK YOU, I haven't even showered son with all the running around. I loveee you all each and everybody contributed for this. Ya made it happen for me !!!!! The number 1 WAY!!" she captioned the clip.

But that's not the only milestone Cardi B has reached in her relatively young career.

She is also the first female soloist to hit No.1 with a debut track and without featuring any other artist since Meghan Trainor's "All About That Bass" in 2014.
