On Thursday, the internet exploded with the "news" that Spider-Man: Homecoming co-stars Tom Holland and Zendaya are dating. In a statement to People, a source shared:
"They started seeing each other while they were filming Spider-Man. They've been super careful to keep it private and out of the public eye but they've gone on vacations with each other and try and spend as much time as possible with one another."
Another source shared:
"They're both really ambitious and they challenge each other—but, most importantly, they make each other crack up. They seem to have a really similar sense of humor and love joking around together. They have great banter back and forth."
This news fits in line with other Spider-Man co-star relationships; former franchise stars Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst once dated, as did Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. But this latest Spider-Man pair has something to say about these dating rumors.
Specifically, it seems the two are having a laugh about them. Zendaya retweeted one story with the caption: "Wait wait...my favorite is when it says we go on vacations together HA! I haven't been on a vacation in years!😂😭🤣hbu @TomHolland1996 ???"
Holland responded with his own joke and emojis: "Does the press tour count 😂😝"
