'Fantastic Beasts 2's First Image Has 'Harry Potter' Fans Very Excited
"Complexion: fair. YES. YES IT IS."
Paging all Harry Potter fans: The first image from Fantastic Beasts 2 is here.
Shared on the official Twitter page for the sequel, the photo shows Newt Scamander's (Eddie Redmayne) travel permit application, which looks to have been denied by the Ministry of Magic.

The Ministry states that Newt was "uncooperative and evasive on reasons for last trip," which we saw in the first movie, and Newt hasn't made it easier for himself by saying his new trip is "personal" with no other details given.
When filming started on Fantastic Beasts 2 in July, an official synopsis revealed that the sequel opens in 1927 following the capture of Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) who, as he promised, has escaped.
"The only one who might be able to stop him is the wizard he once called his dearest friend, Albus Dumbledore. But Dumbledore will need help from the wizard who had thwarted Grindelwald once before, his former student Newt Scamander," the synopsis reads.
This first image doesn't give away much else other than being a sign of how detailed the props are on the movie, but it hasn't stopped Harry Potter fans getting excited.

As well as Redmayne, Depp, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, and Dan Fogler, Fantastic Beasts 2 will also star Iron Fist's David Sakurai as Krall, one of Grindelwald's henchmen, and Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore.
