What could possibly make a Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress more iconic? Why, Kate Middleton of course.
On the most recent leg of their Australian tour, The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William visited Winmalee in New South Wales to meet wth residents affected by last year's disastrous bushfires, then later met with local Girl Guides for a tree-planting ceremony overlooking the region's storied Three Sisters rock formation. For both occassions, Middleton wore DVF's 'Patrice' ikat print cotton dress, which she paired with her signature wedges and a black clutch.
In true "Kate effect" fashion, the dress sold out on DVF's U.S. website within minutes of Middleton's appearance. The wrap dress has never gone out of style, but thanks to Kate, we'll certainly be seeing an uptick of women wearing the famous '70s style this spring.
