As the world's most-watched newlyweds wrap up their trip to Canada and the West Coast, it seems only fitting that William and Catherine would close their California tour with a very-LA red carpet appearance.

On Saturday night, the Duchess of Cambridge joined her Duke at the BAFTA Brits to Watch event in a lovely lilac number designed by Alexander McQueen's Sarah Burton. Simple yet flattering, the diaphanous gown feature the same nipped-waist silhouette as another unforgettable McQueen number, while the pastel hue is completely summer-appropriate.

As for those of you eyeing Catherine's earrings, they're priceless loaners from Queen Elizabeth II. Let's just say it's nice to have friends in high(ness) places.

Was this your favorite look from the Duchess's first trip to the North America? Or did you prefer another outfit?
