Oreo Is Making Avocado and Unicorn Flavors Because Life Is Terrible

Earlier this summer, Oreo launched the #MyOreoCreation contest to let fans dream up their own flavors. Now that ideas have been flowing in for almost two months, Oreo has started surprising people with a sample of what their creations would actually taste like if they won the contest.

So far, Oreo has surprised fans with prototypes of flavors including carrot cake, unicorn, cherry cola, raspberry Danish, and pineapple upside-down cake. While some of these sound amazing (yes, to salted caramel!), we're on the fence about some of the others. Avocado Oreos, anyone?

While some of these wacky flavors may actually be sold in the future, most of them will never be made again, which is either a devastating fact or a very good thing depending on how you feel about flavors like popcorn and galaxy (whatever that means).

Oreo also released prototypes of Oreo Chocolate Candy Bars in more head-scratching flavors including Millennial Pink, Mermaid, and Summer Black Out (hehe). There are also a few delicious flavors, like New York Cheesecake and Birthday Cake, that require way less guesswork as to what they actually taste like.

If you've already entered your flavor idea into the #MyOreoCreation contest, don't worry if you don't see your flavor here. Oreo confirmed in a press release that, "these are flavors the OREO Wonder Vault is strictly exploring and do not have any influence on the final #MyOreoCreation #Contest finalists."

Haven't submitted your own flavor creation to Oreo yet? There's still time. Oreo will continue to deliver sample tastes (and a chance to win $500,000!) to select fans who submit their #MyOreoCreation flavor ideas until July 14. Enter by either texting your flavor idea to 59526, posting it on social media with the hashtag #MyOreoCreation and #contest, or filling out the form on MyOREOCreation.com.
