Every beauty lover has their Sephora Sale strategy. Mine is practical: I skip the makeup and skincare goodies and use the discount to restock body care. I’m talking body creams, exfoliating scrubs, self-tanners, and smoothing treatments—these are the products I actually finish, which makes the spring sale the one moment of the year I’ll happily buy backups. Unlike a lipstick that lives in my purse for months or one of the many serums I rotate in and out of my routine, body care gets used up fast. The body simply has more real estate than the face, and considering I moisturize daily, exfoliate a few times a week, and keep a self-tanner on weekly rotation, bottles disappear quickly—especially once the weather warms up and I’m showing more skin.
Here’s the quick rundown: The 2026 Sephora Savings Event runs April 10 through April 20 for Rouge members and April 14 through April 20 for VIB and Insider members. Rouge gets 20 percent off, VIB gets 15 percent off, and Insiders get 10 percent off on most products. You can shop in stores or at Sephora.com using the code SPRINGSALE online.
We're in the thick of spring—even if the New York weather is a tad temperamental—and we'll be hitting summer before you know it. That means I want my glowy legs on lock, SPF stocked, and skin smooth as a dolphin. Ahead, the formulas I’d add to cart as a beauty editor while the discount is live and the products are in stock.
Soft Skin Cream
As a beauty editor with an excess of products, I can confidently say that body cream is one of the few beauty products I reliably finish. If you’re moisturizing daily, tubs disappear quickly and the right formula makes skin look instantly healthier: softer, smoother, and a little glowy.
If you're looking for a moisturizer that delivers the most delicious gourmand scent while dosing the skin with major moisture, look no further than Vanilla Vibezzz.
This K-beauty brand hit Sephora shelves not too long ago, but I've been a fan of it for quite some time now. It's a no-frills skincare line that's loaded with ceramides for skin barrier repair.
Buffing Body Washes
Exfoliation is the quiet hero of body care. Whether it’s a gritty scrub or a chemically exfoliating body wash, these formulas keep skin looking smoother and more even (especially on areas like arms, legs, and the backs of thighs). I like keeping one in the shower at all times because it makes a noticeable difference in texture. Plus, everything you apply afterward—body cream or self-tanner—goes on way more evenly.
I have strawberry skin—i.e., keratosis pilaris—on the backs of my arms and legs and it particularly flares up in the summer. This KP body scrub is one of the few products that tackles that bumpy skin.
Chemical exfoliants are key for super smooth skin without physical abrasion. This one from Nécessaire has a slew of them, alongside a luxurious spa-like scent.
Sun-Kissed Self-Tanner
Once the weather warms up, self-tanner becomes part of my regular routine. A good formula adds warmth and subtle definition, making legs look smoother and more even-toned without actual sun exposure (skin cancer and wrinkles are real, people!). Because you have to reapply to maintain the glow, it wears off faster than most beauty products.
This is one of my holy grail tanning products for the face and hands. This water formula dispenses an even mist that requires no blending and never makes me orange. Because of that, I trust it on the two areas that are often trickier to get right.
This brand new product is a skin tint for the body, except instead of the active ingredient in most self-tanners, DHA, it actually doesn't use it. That means there is no smell whatsoever, and the color can be washed off at the end of the day. It's lighter than body makeup, smells lovely, and is a game-changer for nights out when I forgot to tan my legs the day before.
Glow-Giving Body Oil
Body oil is my shortcut to glossy, healthy-looking skin. A few drops pressed into arms, legs, or collarbones instantly adds that hydrated sheen that lotion alone doesn’t quite deliver.
This body oil from one of Marie Claire's favorite brands, Cyklar, is actually meant to be used directly after showering when the skin is still wet. The body drinks it up and the scent is beyond yummy.
Senior Beauty Editor Samantha Holender got me on this product. L'Occitane offers a plain Almond Oil, but this one has that golden shimmer that makes it a mainstay in my summer skin routine.
Sunscreen Saviors
Once the weather warms up and my wardrobe shifts toward tank tops, shorter hems, and exposed legs, body SPF becomes non-negotiable. If I’m already using exfoliators, rich creams, and self-tanner to make my skin look smoother and glowier, the last thing I want to do is undo all of that effort in the sun. Right?!
I am a big fan of all of Ultra Violette's SPFs, but this one in particular makes me actually want to apply sunscreen to my entire body—which we all know, can sometimes feel like a task. It blends in immediately and resists sweat and water, so I can feel rest assured my skin is getting protection even on the hottest of pool days.
As soon as a saw this brand offered a shimmer SPF, it didn't take long to convince me to order it. It's a stunning mineral formulation that I love to apply to my chest and shoulders for an extra pop of glow—not to mention, it protects it at the same time.
