Lady Gaga couldn't attend the American Music Awards tonight because she's currently on tour, but that didn't stop her from slaying on the red carpet. Mother Monster got her own step and repeat ahead of her concert in Washington, D.C., and it was probably better than the actual real carpet on the West Coast.
Gaga documented the slayage with several photos on Instagram, because obviously just one photo will not suffice.

The singer sported a black, strappy bodycon Alaïa dress and killer platform heels on her carpet. It was a more minimal look, considering her signature avant-garde style, but Gaga rocked it nonetheless.

And she did not skimp on the poses. I mean, when you have your own personal step and repeat, you might as well work it.

Gaga also sported a second Alaïa look for her photoshoot—a houndstooth tank dress. (What, you thought Lady Gaga was only going to pose in one look? Please.) Her brand loyalty for the evening was likely a tribute to the late designer Azzedine Alaïa, who passed away yesterday at the age of 77.
"I’ll mourn forever the loss of my friend," Gaga wrote of the fashion legend in a tribute post on Instagram.

While she stuck to a black and white wardrobe, Gaga went for a warm and glittery beauty look. Her eyelids were decked out in a shimmery copper eyeshadow, and her lips were all glossed up.

After strutting on her personal red carpet, Gaga took to the stage. Her performance of "The Cure" on this tour stop was aired during the AMAs, and it was absolutely stunning. Watch below.
Slay, Gaga.
