Ellie Goulding played a crucial role in Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris's budding romance.
Speaking to The Sun, the 28-year-old 'Burn' singer said: "I did play matchmaker, that's true.
"Calvin is a really great mate and he's so fantastic, and Taylor is such a cool person who I love. I thought, 'They're both really awesome and both really tall, they'll be brilliant together!'"
Swift had recently said she'd been unfairly shamed into putting romance off, lamenting: "There is no easy way for me to engage with romance. I'm really busy, so I can't."
"It's kind of a sad way I got there, though, being shamed into it," Swift said. "What else is it when you have two boyfriends in one year and everyone's calling you boy-crazy, making jokes about you at awards shows? That's public humiliation. And I don't think it's fair."
Swift began dating Emporio Armani model Harris last month.
