Lindsay Lohan Really Wants to Make 'Mean Girls 2' a Reality

In fact, she's already written a screen treatment for the sequel.

As it turns out, Lindsay Lohan wants a Mean Girls sequel just as much as the rest of the world—so much so that she just announced she's taking a big step in trying to make it a reality.

In a Facebook Live interview with CNN on Thursday, the actress revealed that she's written a screen treatment for Mean Girls 2, and that she's been pushing hard for it to be turned into something more substantial.

"I have been trying so hard to do a Mean Girls 2," she said. "It is not in my hands. I know that [the film's writer and my costar] Tina Fey and [producer] Lorne Michaels and all of Paramount are very busy. But I will keep forcing it and pushing it on them until we do it."

"I have already written a treatment for it," she continued. "I just need a response. I know Mark Waters, the director; he'd happily come back."

And while Cady—I mean, Lindsay—didn't reveal much about how she envisioned the sequel would go, she did discuss some of the actors she'd like to get involved.

"I'd love to have Jamie Lee Curtis [and] Jimmy Fallon in the movie," she said.
