We Now Have Proof That No, Taylor Swift Was 100 Percent *Not* in that Massive Suitcase

If it sounds too ridiculous to be true...

Earlier this week, Splash News, which provides many of the sidewalk candid shots internet users know and love, posted a group of photos of people moving stuff out of Taylor Swift's apartment. But as first noticed by the Irish radio station Spin 1038, the photo service had captioned its photo set with a curious statement:

"Is Taylor Swift being transported in a huge suitcase from her Tribeca apartment??"

Sorry...what? The rest of the photo caption is similarly bizarre:

"Taylor Swift has been reportedly being transported in a huge suitcase from her Tribecca apartment into her truck. A fleet of cars including two large cadillacs and three suv's arrive at Tailor Swift's apartment in Tribecca to move a large suitcase from apartment to truck. Almost a dozen of Taylor Swift security guards were present to move this package carefully as Taylor Swift remains to be unseen for a long time."

As the misspelling of Tribeca might suggest, the whole thing whiffs of some nonsense. And it most certainly was; in a statement to Spin, a Splash News representative shared that the photographer who'd provided the pics was "not really a regular photographer that we use" and that, well, "The report stated it as a fact, which we actually don't know. How could we?"

If this all sounds too weird to be true, consider—as Elle reported, none other than fellow pop sensation Adele admitted to being transported to stages for shows via a...giant box. But as the story is, alas, completely and utterly devoid of truth, Splash News heard word from Taylor's camp, and is retracting the photo. Case closed!
