Taylor Swift is a master at dropping hints in absolutely everything she puts out into the world (opens in new tab). So, would it be so outrageous to think that she would reveal her engagement with an easter egg? Well, fans think she did just that—sneaking the announcement in a recent commercial she's featured on.
As a favor for Ryan Reynolds, Taylor released a sneak peek of her re-recorded song, "Love Story" for a Match.com ad. (opens in new tab)Fans quickly found one anti-Scooter message (opens in new tab) in the clip, but it seems like there is more info to glean.
Okay so while my new re-records are NOT done, my friend @VancityReynolds asked me if he could use a snippet of one for a LOLsome commercial he wrote so...here’s a sneak peak of Love Story! Working hard to get the music to you soon!! https://t.co/0vBFXxaRXRDecember 2, 2020
"Wait why aren’t we talking about the fact that taylor said 'it’s a love story baby just SAID yes,'" one fan tweeted. In the original song, the lyric is "say yes," even in the final chorus, but it definitely sounds like "said" in the commercial. "Is our queen trying to tell us something?" the fan asked.

Most likely, this is the TikTok the fan is referring to:
Unsurprisingly, Swifties have spiraled. Now, many are speculating that Taylor's releasing "Love Story" first in order to announce her engagement. "This would be chefs kiss," one fan tweeted.
GUYS WHAT IF TAYLOR RELEASES LOVE STORY FIRST BC SHES ENGAGED TO JOE !!! this would be chefs kiss but I literally have no evidence supporting this ideaDecember 2, 2020
"When Taylor reveals she's engaged in the new Love Story MV where Joe kneels to the ground and says marry me juliet," another wrote.

I too hope that Taylor is engaged because I need to see her adorable Nashville meets London wedding, but I'm just going to throw this out there: maybe we misheard the lyric? Yes, it does sound like "said," but at the same time, it could be "say." Honestly, it could go either way, and maybe we're just hearing what we want to hear?!
