Today, as the Duchess of Cambridge turns 39, she and Prince William are acknowledging the work of those on the front lines of the coronavirus crisis.
"Thank you for your kind wishes on The Duchess’ birthday," reads a new post on the Kensington Royal Instagram account, which is accompanied by a photo of Kate wearing a face mask. "Birthdays have been very different in recent months, and our thoughts continue to be with all those working on the front line at this hugely challenging time."

Harry and Meghan have not publicly acknowledged Kate’s birthday at this point, but of course, they no longer have public social media accounts.
Kate’s birthday is coupled with additional happy news for the royal family this year. Today, Buckingham Palace confirmed (opens in new tab) that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip had both received the Covid-19 vaccine. The immunization was administered by a household doctor at Windsor Castle.
