Animal-lover Cornelia Guest is adding a collection of vegan handbags to her burgeoning lifestyle brand (opens in new tab)! Along with her vegan cookie line and vegetarian cookbook (coming out next spring and being shot by Bruce Weber!), these bags are part of her effort to provide people with "an intelligent alternative" to the leather and skins that dominate the accessories market.
Guest — a devoted vegan who owns nine dogs, a tortoise, and a donkey — is committed to animal rights, and her bags (12 styles in total, ranging from $39 to $285) reflect this passion.
Bloomingdale's has picked up the collection and the pieces will hit shelves this fall. Luckily, she sent over a few samples to the Marie Claire offices and I — along with editor Ashley Afriyie and interns Kelsey Isenberg and Morgan Griffin — chose our fave styles to model!
What do you think of Cornelia's new bags?
