A Dream Pair: Sarah Jessica Parker and Manolo Blahnik to Launch Shoe Collection

Finally! Sarah Jessica Parker and Manolo Blahnik are partnering up to launch a collection that will be sold exclusively at Nordstrom starting in early 2014.

Since the birth of Sex and the City (15 years ago today!), Carrie Bradshaw and her real life counterpart Sarah Jessica Parker have become synonymous with shoes — in particular, the ultra-expensive and ultra-chic brand, Manolo Blahnik. So it's only fitting that when Sarah Jessica takes her long-awaited step into the world of shoe design, she does it alongside the CEO of Manolo Blahnik, George Malkemus.

The two are partnering up to launch a collection that will be sold exclusively at Nordstrom starting in early 2014. While the collection will predominantly contain shoes, there's also going to be trenches and handbags in the mix, as well. Shoppers can expect simple, classic bags, and new, unexpected color combinations, with shoes priced from around $200-$300 and bags under $700.

This isn't SJP's first foray into the world of design. Previously, she's been creative director at Halston and launched the affordable sportswear line, Bitten. With Malkemus' longtime experience in the business of shoes combined with Parker's footwear icon status, it's almost unfathomable to imagine that this will be anything other than a success.
