Watch Anne Hathaway Perform the Rom-Com of Your Dreams in 5 Minutes—and One Take

With help from James Corden.

Anne Hathaway has starred in plenty of romantic dramas and comedies that have a love interest as a minor plot point. (Andy should have never kept that guy around in The Devil Wears Prada.) But she hasn't really gone full rom-com with a role—until now, and she totally nailed it.

On The Late Late Show, she and host James Corden performed an entire rom-com in five minutes, in just one take. And they sang the entire time, going all the way from "Holding Out for a Hero" to "Kiss Me." Then the relationship goes south, and Hathaway expertly drunk-slurs "All By Myself," before the rom-com couple has a Ross and Rachel from Friends moment during "Leaving on a Jet Plane" and "Let's Stay Together."

This wasn't the first time Corden has put on impromptu musicals—it's kind of his thing. He often relies on Anna Kendrick to be his scene partner. Here's their Soundtrack to a Love Story:

The last time Hathaway stopped by, their relationship was a little more contentious. In a rap battle, she hit him where it hurts—his IMDB page.
