  • Taylor Swift revealed some lyrics from her new song “Lover.”
  • Fans are convinced she’s hinting that she and Joe Alwyn are engaged.

Per usual, Taylor Swift is out here making her fans go absolutely wild with theories that she and her notoriously private boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, are engaged. This time, it has everything to do with her latest interview with Vogue.

As part of the September issue, Taylor talked about how she didn’t realize she could be an ally to a community that she’s not a part of and how she was canceled, and she even shared some previously secret lyrics from her new album.

She chose to reveal some lines from the title track, “Lover,” which the magazine called a “romantic” and “haunting” song. IDK if having those two words describe a track is a good or bad thing, but okay! Anyway, the lyrics are making Swifties spiral because they think it sounds like Taylor's hinting at an engagement.

This is the line, BTW: “My heart’s been borrowed and yours has been blue. All’s well that ends well to end up with you.”

Now, anyone who has watched their fair share of Say Yes to the Dress knows that this is a clear reference to the wedding tradition of wearing something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue.

A quick peek into the minds of 98 percent of all Taylor fans right now:

But since Taylor and Joe keep their love life private, nobody actually knows if these guesses are correct. Basically, it’s best not to read too much into these things because people think she’s engaged, like, every other month. Remember when she dropped the “ME!” music video and everyone was convinced she was engaged to Joe because Brendon Urie proposed to her in the video and she hinted that there was a secret in the video? Turns out, the big secret was just that she got a new cat.

So, yeah, don’t get your hopes up yet.
