Meghan Markle is reportedly extremely upset that Jessica Mulroney brought her up in the “discourse” she had with lifestyle writer Sasha Exeter, and apparently, it was the last straw for their friendship.

As a reminder, Sasha recently told her followers that Jessica used “textbook white privilege” to essentially threaten her career in response to Sasha simply asking fellow fashion industry influencers (including Jessica) to use their platforms in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. Jessica seemingly brought up Meghan Markle in response, writing on Sasha’s post, “As I told you privately, I have lived a very public and personal experience with my closest friend where race was front and center. It was deeply educational.”

Page Six previously reported that Meghan is cutting Jessica off, and now, an Us Weekly source says the duchess is particularly upset that Jessica brought her up.

“Meghan could not get over that Jessica brought up her relationship with Meghan when she commented about her ‘closest friend’ in the discourse with Sasha,” a source tells Us. “That was hugely offensive to Meghan and the deciding factor for her. Meghan considers the relationship to be done.”

Another source explains that Meghan wants to “distance herself” from Jessica, adding, “Of course Meghan is supportive of Jessica, as she is with all of her friends, but it’s a bit off-putting when Jessica seemingly uses their friendship for headlines. Meghan is very aware when people in her life do this…especially now that Meghan is in L.A. and it’s a sensitive time, Meghan is being very cautious with her affiliations.”

Jessica’s television show I Do, Redo has been canceled in the wake of her treatment of Sasha, and she’ll no longer be appearing on Good Morning America. She’s since released an apology for her comments to Sasha, which you can read below.
