Selena Gomez Went Out in a Chic Black Mini Dress, Thigh-High Boots, and a Leather Coat on Oscars Night

Selena Gomez debuted her blonde hair on Friday, and two days later, the singer spent Oscars night in Los Angeles—grabbing dinner with friends at Nobu. Gomez dressed up for the occasion but stuck to an all-black outfit so her platinum hair would really pop. Gomez’s friend Anna Collins posted a photo of Gomez all ready to go on her Instagram Story. “Fresh blow out skin on the ten ooooooh she ready,” Collins captioned the shot of Gomez smiling.

This marks Gomez’s first big Los Angeles outing of 2021. The singer has spent the bulk of the year in New York City, where she was shooting her upcoming Hulu series Only Murders in the Building. That series just wrapped, hence Gomez dyeing her dark hair blonde and heading back to the West Coast.

Gomez spoke in February on an Instagram Live about what the series will be like: “It’s kind of a dramedy, so there’s moments that are real and then there are other moments that are complete chaos and hilarious. I’m working with Steve Martin and Martin Short and if you don’t know their work, by the way, they’re pretty amazing people to be around.”

She also revealed then that she would “one thousand percent” dye her hair blonde again (Gomez was briefly blonde in 2017) and that she is going to be doing both musical and acting projects going forward.

“I will be doing movies. I will be doing more movies. I’m really excited,” she said, adding that her music career was very active too. “I am making music. I’m constantly making music.”
